Stone Well, 2

I included the rosehips in the foreground this time; they had drawn my eye originally, soft and plump against the stone.
This feels like the dawning of one of those very "glow-y" autumn days.

Stone Well
I love the stone (all one piece) and ironwork. I had my attention on the well and the long shadows at sunrise.

about the artist

- I have always enjoyed making things - learning to use the tools and properties/qualities of materials. My favorite place to renew is in a Forest, Alpine Meadow, or on a Lake; all are wonderful templates for living simply and elegantly! I started drawing at age 5 and worked in several media, eventually taking a minor in Fine Art along with my Science degrees. Later studies in Fiber, Surface Design, Book Arts and Painting support my work today. I continue to study painting through workshops and perseverance at my easel. I work on location and sometimes in the studio.
