Mallow

This was fun - mixing all the pinks and reds.
The oil-primed surface is new to me.
I like the surface and am trying various mediums with the oils to see the effects of each one.

about the artist

White Salmon, Washington, United States
I have always enjoyed making things - learning to use the tools and properties/qualities of materials. My favorite place to renew is in a Forest, Alpine Meadow, or on a Lake; all are wonderful templates for living simply and elegantly! I started drawing at age 5 and worked in several media, eventually taking a minor in Fine Art along with my Science degrees. Later studies in Fiber, Surface Design, Book Arts and Painting support my work today. I continue to study painting through workshops and perseverance at my easel. I work on location and sometimes in the studio.
